HouseMaster® of Bull Run provides Comprehensive Home Inspections in over 15 counties across the Piedmont. Our mission is to give clients peace of mind about their greatest investment. Our goal is to help homeowners understand the functionality of the major systems within their property and to educate on proper maintenance. Ultimately, we help our clients make informed decisions about a property.
What is a memorable moment or accomplishment you can share about your business?
We were named Rookies of the Year by HouseMaster after our first year of operation. I have also been Affiliate of the Year at Prince William Association of Realtors and Affiliate of the Year at Greater Piedmont Realtors. I have received the President’s award at Greater Piedmont Realtors.
How did you get involved with HGBA + what do you like most about being part of our networking community?
We joined HGBA during our first year of business. We heard about HGBA, and since we do business in Haymarket and Gainesville, we decided to check it out and joined. I served on the HGBA Board as Secretary. I enjoy catching up with friends, meeting new business owners, and learning about business development in Prince William County.
Are there any upcoming goals or projects that you or your business are excited about?
The Home Inspection Industry has been sluggish over the past few years. We are optimistic that we will soon come out of this slow time. With that in mind, we have hired another inspector, and John is currently working with him so he will be trained and ready for next year.
Share something about yourself that people might be surprised to learn?
John and I have owned and operated HouseMaster of Bull Run for 8 years. Prior to running our business, I taught in Prince William County Public Schools for 18 years, most of them in kindergarten. I enjoy canning (we make our own sauerkraut and applesauce every year), quilting, gardening, RVing, and spending time with our 2 granddaughters.
